IAF Sukhoi-30 jets have a design flaw: Air chief NAK Browne

PUNE: Air boss NAK Browne today said the IAF has distinguished an "outline imperfection" with the Russian-made supersonic contender air ship Sukhoi-30 however nothing isn't right with its "airworthiness". 

"We have distinguished a Fly-By-Wire issue with the air ship. It is a configuration issue and we have brought it up with the planning organization," he told journalists on the sidelines of a capacity held to check Golden
Jubilee festivals of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) here. 

Alluding to the December 13, 2011 accident of a Sukhoi-30 MKI warrior flying machine close here, the Air Chief said that more checks were being executed to guarantee that such episodes don't happen once more. 

The airplane had smashed at Wade Bholai town not long after it took off from Lohegaon air base. Two pilots of the contender plane figured out how to safeguard securely. 

"There is nothing the matter with the flying machine or its airworthiness. I have myself flown the airplane," he said. 

On proposed procurement of the French Rafale flying machine, Browne said the arrangements in this respect were advancing admirably and could be finished before the end of the money related year. 

In answer to an inquiry, he said the IAF had a "showy arrangement" nearby to change over from old to new armadas. 

Prior, the Air Chief discharged a postal stamp brought out by the Department of Post and Telegraph to honor the AFMC Golden Jubilee.
