Despite the fact that hip-hop star Kanye West was nominated in six different categories – and won three of them – he decided to forgo the music industry’s biggest night in order to spend some quality time abroad with his baby mama, KimPerhaps feeling that Staples Center was going to be filled with a few too many celebrities, the attention-hungry couple instead planned a vacation to Brazil for Carnival weekend. The international jaunt including a walking tour of the city of Vidigal on Sunday, when the two looked like average American tourists as they took in the sights with a camera in hand. Well, except for the fact that Kardashian was wearing a low-cut dress and high heels, West was donning some sort of kimono-style top, they were trailed by fellow tourists and paparazzi, and were accompanied by bodyguards as well as megastar Will Smith. But other than that, they totally looked like your average American tourists.
And just because the reality star is pregnant, doesn’t mean she can’t party. Later that day the 32-year-old tweeted, “In the car heading to carnival here in Rio! Good thing there's all this traffic so u can look up all these hot Grammy looks!” Speaking of hot looks, she donned one the day before when she and West, 35, headed off to see one of Rio de Janiero’s most famous sites, the statue of Christ the Redeemer. What luck! Kim and Kanye's room in Rio was right below Will Smith's!
