A beauty
queen who was racing for becoming Miss Colombia had her dreams torn down as she
was disqualified after pictures of her in 'Lingerie' came out in public.
21 years old Paola Builes Aristizábal, was crowned Miss
Antioquia on August 10, 2014 and that made her qualified to compete in the “Miss
Colombia”, sources at Bluradio said.
But then the supposedly stirring photographs
emerged, and contest organizers decided they are done with her.
Aristizábal told Bluradio that she
is still in shock because of the decision, she felt discriminated against others
because there were candidates that were going to participate in the beauty
contest in Cartagena that have photos in lingerie too, they have pictures with tiny bathing suits as well,
and to her dismay they're going to participate.
She says the pictures in question
were shot 2 years back and they were her private portfolio.
Natalia Ochoa Calle, the
competition's runner-up, is now Miss Antioquia.
The Cosmovisión network, that made the decision with the help of
the board of directors of the Concurso Nacional de Belleza (National Beauty
Pageant), said:
“Miss Antioquia Paola Builes Aristizábal, who was elected on
August 10, will not be able to exercise her functions as queen of the
antioqueños. This decision was taken after consultation with the Board of the
National Beauty Pageant in Cartagena, prompted by photos of the participant in
lingerie, which [the organization] was not aware of until one day after the
evening of election and coronation.
